Our final major fundraiser for the year has been and gone and what a wonderful success it was! Two sold out sessions of 40 people attended on Saturday 6th October and we raised nearly $3,000 for our wonderful kindy in the process!
Cross Gallery was decked out with tables, flowers (thank you to one of our wonderful kindy families – Anastasi Blooms), paint, nibbles and wine and wonderful local artist and talented tutor Jennifer McDuff led the 80 participants to paint their own piece of take home art.
We had a silent art auction on the night with beautiful pieces of art donated by John Olsen, Susan Hutton, Clinton Cross and Leslie French all of which found new homes by the end of the evening while raising a few extra dollars for the kindergarten.
This was a wonderful event and we thank each and every community member who attended for their support.
A huge thanks also goes to:
- Katrina and Tim Pyle for the loan of esky and tables and the delivery of chairs back to kindy
- Lou and Adrian Stallard (& Jace) for set up, pack down and delivery of chairs to the venue
- Tammy Antastasi and Trina for the wonderful blooms
- Elke McCrystal for her generous donation of time, expertise and speedy cutting skills
- Amanda Irwin for the extra tables
- Jaimea Collins and Ana Burgess for their clean up skills
- Phil and Marlies Oakely at Art Plus for the loan of an easel and table
