Forestview Kindergarten is an incorporated affiliate association and as such, each year relies upon parents of the currently enrolled student group to volunteer their time as committee members provide guidance and support to the teaching staff and fill positions such as President, wages treasurer, fees treasurer, fundraising coordinator and more.

The committee strives to provide:

  • Leadership and strategic direction
  • Manage staff and regulatory requirements for service and staff
  • Support all aspects of the day to day running of the kindy
  • Fundraise to raise vital funds for the kindergarten community and its operational needs
  • Many other amazing services such as budgets, correspondence management, payments of fees and wages and much, much more.

The volunteer committee work very closely with the teaching staff, with general meetings held once a month and contact hours weekly.

Thank you to our amazing 2025 committee for their dedication and hard work – Thea Revell, Fiona McHugh, Emily Zunker, Emma Donovan, Eloise Wolff, Anita Massee, Alex Corrigan, Alisa Johnson, Katie-Jay McLeod, Brendan Macpherson and Tim Kimmince.

2026 Parent Committee

President – Thea Revell

Thea wanted to join the committee to be involved in her children’s education, particularly in this first year of kindy, an exciting year for the whole family. Forestview is a unique experience, one that she hopes to support and give back to, and where she hopes to continue to make connections with other families and the community of Forestview.

The Revell family loves to get outdoors, go camping, travelling and learn more about nature. They love getting together with friends from near and far, and serving as part of their church family. Most of all they love spending quality time together as a family.

Vice President – Fiona McHugh

I attended Forestview Kindy 30 years ago and my Mum was a former Forestview committee member. This is my second year as Vice Present because our eldest son, Hayden (4yo), loved Kindy so much he’s continuing a second year with Mrs Louise in the Koala Group. I’m a podiatrist working in aged care and my husband, Ben, is a Physiotherapist working in private practice. Hayden has a younger brother, Mitchell (2yo), who will be attending Forestview in 2028. Our family loves sport and being outside. You will often find us at the park, beach, going on bushwalks, playing backyard cricket (Hayden’s favourite) or swimming in the pool.

We look forward to making more special memories at Forestview this year. I had such a great experience last year being on the committee so I am very grateful to stay on the committee this year. I learnt so much last year being on the parent committee and created amazing friendships with other families.

Payments Treasurer – Bel Rossiter

Belinda has returned to the Parent Committee, this time stepping into the role of Payments Treasurer, while her daughter enjoys every moment at Kindy in the Koala group.

An Accountant by trade Belinda stays busy managing the Bundaberg and Childers Betta Home Living Stores, which she co-owns and operates alongside her husband, Wade.

Belinda became involved with the parent committee as a meaningful way of contributing back to the amazing Forestview Community and to help support the wonderful educators and all that they do.

Belinda looks forward to the weekends when life slow downs enough for the family to make the most of having some quality time together; enjoying trips to the beach, parks or simply playing in the backyard and catching up with family and friends.

Minutes Secretary – Melinda Fichera

After seeing both her daughter and now her son enjoy their time at the centre, Melinda feels grateful to be part of a kindergarten community she holds in very high regard. The care, warmth, and sense of belonging her family has experienced over the years inspired her to give back in a meaningful and supportive way.

In her professional life, she works as an Executive Assistant, a role that has helped her develop strong organisational skills, clear communication, and a careful attention to detail. She hopes to bring these strengths to her position as Minutes Secretary, contributing to the smooth and effective running of the committee. She also serves the community as a Justice of the Peace, reflecting her commitment to supporting others with integrity and care.

On weekends, you’ll often find her on the sidelines cheering on her children at their chosen sports, something she loves just as much as being involved with the kindy community.

Correspondence Secretary – Melina Russo

Mel volunteered to be the 2026 Correspondence Secretary and is a Mum of 3 beautiful boys. Charlie, who is in Mrs Louise’s Koala group, is Jim and Melina’s third son to attend forestview. Vinnie was in Mrs Louise’s Koala group in 2022. and Ritchie was in the 2023 Koala group. This is Mel’s third year on the committee and she is so excited to continue her role. Being actively involved is very important to her helping give back to the Kindy and community. Correspondence secretary fits perfectly into her busy life. Jim and Mel love to spend as much quality time together as a family when they can. Weekends are often filled with boys sporting events and activities. Mel looks forward to being part of the 2026 Forestview Committee.

Fees Treasurer – Lizzy Mostert

Hi, I’m Lizzy. I’m a mum of three boys, a parent at the kindergarten and a member of the committee, where I serve as the Fees Treasurer. My oldest son attended the kindergarten in 2023, and my middle child is currently in the Koala group. I love being involved in our wonderful community kindergarten and helping support a place where our children can learn, grow and build friendships.

As a family, we love spending time outdoors — especially swimming and camping whenever we get the chance. Outside of kindy life, I work in administration and payroll. I’m grateful to be part of such a supportive kindergarten community. 🌿

Wages Treasurer – Eloise Wolff

I wanted to become a committee member to give back to our Kindy and connect with other parents. I have a background in accounts and payroll which is why I volunteered for the wages treasurer role. I have two energetic boys who keep me very busy. My family and I love anything to do with water. You will find us at the beach, pool or under the hose as much as possible. We also love riding our bikes, playing at the park and having family movie nights.

Fundraising Coordinator – Julieanne Greensill

My name is Julieanne and this is my second time being a Forestview parent but my first time on the Parent Committee. We are a proud Wombat family – Freddie (2026) and Catherine (2023). I’m a High school teacher currently on family leave and as a family we love to spend time at the beach and on the farm.

Fundraising Treasurer – Jackie Liverton

Jackie is our 2026 Fundraising Treasurer and mum to Levi in the Koala Group. Levi’s older brother, Xavier, attended Forestview in 2023, making this Jackie’s second year as part of the Forestview community.

After becoming a Forestview parent and previously serving on the committee, Jackie quickly saw the dedication and genuine care the staff have for both the kindergarten and the children. She joined the parent committee again this year as a way of giving back to the wonderful Forestview community.

When she isn’t working as a theatre nurse, Jackie enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, watching her boys play sport, and catching up with family and friends. She is looking forward to the year ahead and being part of the 2026 committee.

Workplace Health & Safety & Grounds Maintenance – Jim Russo

Jim is our 2026 Workplace Health and Safety Officer. Jim’s a Dad to 3 boys; Vinnie, Ritchie and Charlie. Charlie is in this years Koala group. Vinnie attended Forestview in the Koala group in 2022 and Ritchie in 2023. Jim works fulltime on his family farms. Jim is super handy at fixing things around the house, the farms and his skills will be put to good use around the Kindy to ensure everything is in check. On the weekends, Jim and his wife, Mel, spendmost of their time taking their 3 busy boys to their sports and cheering them on. With whatever spare time is leftover, Jim loves to play a round of golf. Jim is excited to fulfil his role on the 2026 parent committee.

My wife nominated me as she thought I’d be well suited to the role. With my work hours, I don’t always get to be as involved in Oliver’s time at Forestview as I’d like, so I saw this as a great way to stay connected and be part of something he’s involved in. Ollie is in the Koala Group. We also have Grace, who will be attending in 2028. I work full-time as a plant operator, running my own business — Ridgeworth Civil. I’ve always been a very hands-on person and enjoy keeping busy, so I’m always happy to lend a hand wherever I can. I enjoy going to the gym and playing a round of golf with mates. As a family, we love getting down to Brisbane to watch the Brisbane Lions play, or just spending quality time together.
