Woo hoo! Forestview Community Kindergarten is honoured to have been part of the group of centres that scooped up a major art award at the C&K annual conference in Brisbane. The award category recognises the work of an educator, or group of educators who have consistently demonstrated high standards of excellence in relation to the arts in the early childhood sector.
Congratulations to all of the educators, children (over 300 of them!) and the Bundaberg Region Art Gallery for your efforts with this amazing arts project.
Forestview Kindergarten is honoured to have been part of the wonderful collaborative art project in 2017 called Our Town which was exhibited in the School of Arts as part of the 2017 Crush Festival.
C&K children’s services manager Sandi Lascelles said it was an extraordinary collaboration.
“We worked closely with Rebecca Maclean from the Bundaberg Regional Gallery on a project that gave this large group of children a great chance to think about their city and what’s important to them,” she said.
