On Friday 22 June our kindy held our first and a SOLD OUT City Fit Bootylicious fundraiser! This is such an awesome effort! We had 70 people dance, sweat, sing and crump their heart out to 80’s tunes like Maniac, Girls just want to have fun, Rhythm of the night, Push It and loads more. Over an hour and a half of heart-pumping, soul-feeding, sometimes uncoordinated and amazing moves!
Thank you to our sponsors for the raffle – Bundy Food Tours, BP Lowes Petroleum, Running Bare and Lowepro, the prize was drawn on the night and went to a previous Forestview mum from years ago Tanya. Congrats!

Bunnings BBQ

bunnings-bbq

We backed up our dance moves with our annual Bunnings BBQ bright and early on Saturday morning! Neil Hutchinson fearlessly lead the charge with set up along with Andrew Green, Stu Ross, Mrs Louise and Jess dropping extra supplies off! This was an amazingly successful BBQ with Mrs Leisha managing to on-sell anything we had left at the end of the day. A massive thank you goes to the following volunteers for undertaking the sign up, training required and your time on the day:

  • Neil Hutchinson for your loading and unloading of the trailer, organising ice, eskies and masterfully getting our BBQ off to a wonderful start, cooking over 300 snags by the time 10:30 rolled around! Also for being flexible and joining back in at the end of the day to assist with pack down and clean up.
  • Andrew Green
  • Stuart Ross
  • Nigel Cross
  • Kristy Cross
  • Amanda Irwin
  • Grant Irwin
  • Peter Gear
  • Damien Botha
  • Nadine Zunker
  • Emma Hinschen
  • A huge thank you goes to the staff as well – Mrs Louise, Mrs Nicole and Mrs Leisha for giving up your time on the weekend too to help out and guide us all through it.

Thank you to everyone and anyone who supported the BBQ on the day and visited our wonderful kindy whilst we were the BBQ masters of Bunnings! It was a very busy day, with snags in hot demand.

Thank you to everyone again for supporting our wonderful fundraisers. Have a great week ahead.

Cheers,

Jess Marsellos on behalf of the Forestview Committee.
