Welcome to Forestview Community Kindergarten. A place where play takes centre stage in your child’s education and where children are given time to explore, discover and learn!

We offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Funded Program in a variety of flexible enrolment options.

Our passionate teachers and teaching assistants are highly qualified and experienced. They are experts in teaching children from three to five years and establish a love of life-long learning. Our purpose-built building and expansive outdoor play spaces are designed to nurture children’s development in a caring community environment. Children have the stability of the same teachers and the same children attending kindy every day of their attendance. This allows us to offer continuity and extension of learning for each child, from one day to the next. Our mission at Forestview Community Kindergarten is to provide children with a play enriched environment and build partnerships with families and the community. We strive for high quality early childhood education and care where we support children to become life-long learners.

Having educated over 2500 children since its establishment 53 years ago, C & K Forestview Community Kindergarten and Preschool is an exceeding expectations service which offers the highest quality education and care to the Bundaberg community and its future generations of children. Forestview is an affiliated service of C & K who have been at the forefront of early childhood education and care for over a century.

Forestview offers a pre-prep education service for children aged three and a half to five years. When you enrol your child at Forestview you are assured of:

• Dedicated, university qualified Early Childhood Teachers and staff who have specialist training in interacting with and planning educational programs for children.

• Stimulating learning environments and experiences, which foster active exploration, problem solving, and discovery all allow children to construct their own knowledge through PLAY.

• Staff who are trained to interpret play, ensuring your child’s all-round development is carefully observed. This skilled interpretation of play enables staff to guide your child towards their full potential.

• Adult/child ratios and appropriate group sizes that are optimal for children’s learning and quality of care (i.e. 2 adults to 22 children).

• Well-designed and safe buildings within a rainforest setting. Our play area is 50% larger than industry standards so you can explore, discover, and play more freely.

• Strong relationships being formed between children and families because group structures remain the same through the year.

• Adults who endeavour to provide a warm friendly atmosphere where children and their families feel welcome.

• A chance to make a strong contribution to your child’s educational future. Forestview actively encourages parent’s involvement in their child’s learning through offering an open door policy, a voluntary parent roster system and invites input and evaluation into the quality of our service via annual parent surveys.

• Staff who are committed to the well being of all children who attend our service

Child-Led Learning

No two days are the same at Forestview kindy. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.

Community Spirit

Community spirit is important to us at Forestview kindy. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent input and involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten and programming decisions. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.
